Subsea Intervention and Tether Installation

HYDRA executed a subsea intervention campaign in the Gulf of America. The team successfully completed tether installation, subsea tree remediation, and manifold valve operations in approximately 2,000 feet of water.

A key highlight of the campaign was the successful installation of a replacement buoy tether system using ROVs alone, demonstrating HYDRA’s capability to execute complex installation work without diver intervention.

Platform Decommissioning & Removal Preparations

Hydra supported offshore decommissioning operations in the Green Canyon area by providing an integrated vessel, ROV, and diving solution to prepare a fixed platform for removal. Operating in a SIMOPS environment, Hydra coordinated ROV and diver activities to safely cut and remove structural members, pipelines, and appurtenances required for topside removal.

A key aspect of the project involved preparing the structure for partial removal, enabling the upper 90 feet of the platform to be …

Subsea Responder IV

TLP Tendon Cementing Remediation

HYDRA supported a major installation contractor on a Tension Leg Platform (TLP) tendon remediation campaign in the Gulf of Mexico. As part of a platform life-extension program, HYDRA mobilized the Subsea Responder IV with a dedicated subsea cementing spread to the Mississippi Canyon area to perform tendon cementing operations.

Working in coordination with both the prime installation contractor and the TLP operator, HYDRA successfully completed the cementing of all twelve tendons supporting …

Oil Pipeline Survey

HYDRA executed a comprehensive subsea pipeline survey campaign in support of an offshore oil pipeline integrity program, utilizing the Subsea Responder I (SSR1). The scope included on-bottom pipeline inspection, high-resolution multibeam mapping, and depth-of-burial assessment across approximately 200,000 feet of subsea infrastructure.

Working in coordination with a dedicated survey partner, HYDRA delivered an integrated inspection solution that combined geophysical survey data with …

Flotel Campaign

HYDRA supported a critical offshore maintenance campaign by deploying the Subsea Responder II as a flotel to accommodate and manage a large construction workforce. Over a multi-phase operation, HYDRA provided safe, continuous personnel transfer and accommodation services, enabling uninterrupted platform work during a time-sensitive shut-in event. The project was executed with a structured shift rotation, strong vessel positioning, and seamless coordination between offshore teams.

Pipeline Integrity Management System and Hydraulic Flying Lead Installation

HYDRA supported an owner/operator’s integrity management program by executing a large-scale subsea inspection campaign across pipelines, flowlines, and risers in the Gulf of America utilizing the dual-ROV vessel Subsea Responder IV.

Tendon Tension Monitoring System Cable Replacement

Hydra Subsea deployed the Subsea Responder IV to execute a Tendon Tension Monitoring System (TTMS) cable replacement on a deepwater Tension Leg Platform in approximately 3,300 feet of water. The project involved the removal and replacement of 12 TTMS cables routed from the topside conduit, down the platform column, across the pontoon, and along each tendon to the monitoring clamps. In close collaboration with diving partner Phoenix International, Hydra combined surface-supplied …

Platforms Requiring Decommissioning

Decommissioning Services for Independent Energy Company

Located offshore in approximately 700 ft. water depth, three platforms required decommissioning. A specialized offshore crew managed various elements of the project while simultaneous operations were ongoing that involved well plugging and abandonment (P&A).

Offshore platform reconstruction project

Platform Reconstruction Project for Major Independent Oil & Gas Operator

Hydra completed a multi-platform reconstruction project for major independent oil and gas operator, Freeport-McMoran. Contracted to complete topside preparations before plug and abandonment (P&A) crews could decommission the wells and remove the structures, Hydra renovated the platforms to comply with all Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) regulations.

Recovering of offshore drilling rig

BOP Recovery for International Drilling Contractor

A subsea blowout preventer (BOP) for a privately held oil and gas E&P company unexpectedly detached, damaging a subsea tree in 3,000 ft water depth. The BOP was 70% buried in the seabed, limiting access to feasible lift points.
