Significant Upgrades to Hydra’s Subsea Responder IV

This DPII vessel with dual ROV capabilities has gotten much more than a facelift.

Recent upgrades include:

• Replacement of legacy Siemens Master drives main propulsion variable frequency drives with state-of-the-art Siemens Blue Drives.
• The former Kongsberg SDP dynamic positioning system has now been replaced with the latest Kongsberg KPOS.
• Replacement of legacy Siemens alarm monitoring system displays, featuring the latest Siemens Unified Comfort Panels.
• Complete overhaul of the SSR4’s 1600kW main propulsion motors.
• Re-chroming and resealing of Hydra Marine Crane Cylinders.
